CLAP Restaurant first opened its doors in 2018 in Beirut, Lebanon. Since then, it has rapidly expanded, with locations in prominent MENA cities such as Dubai, Riyadh, London & soon Ibiza.

CLAP Beirut is located in the heart of Beirut city, in Martyr’s Square Downtown, in Al Nahar building.

Our aim is to create a garden-like space in a location that overlooks the city of Beirut and the Mediterranean Sea.

CLAP Beirut is a sky garden, a designed space where all the guests can enjoy a full Japanese fine dining experience. It is a new cultural place, that combines the wonderful scenery of Beirut with Japanese culture.

CLAP Beirut showcases innovative Japanese dining at its finest. Already achieving numerous accolades, including being ranked in the top 50 in the world’s best restaurants from the MENA Region in the 50Best Discovery.

Guests enter through the ground floor and are whisked up to the 8th-floor rooftop restaurant, where they are met with a stunning open kitchen and buzzing atmosphere. The curated dishes and impressive array of sakes and wines complement the contemporary aesthetic of the indoor restaurant, bar, and lounge.

CLAP Beirut’s concept is based on the traditional Japanese architecture by eliminating the boundaries between the “Niwa” [outdoors] and “Engawa” [indoors].

Natural materials, stone, and woods were used to respect the natural atmosphere of the “Niwa”. Japanese craft techniques were used such as carved wood screen “Sukashibori”, a bracket light made from cut glass “Edo-kiriko” and a wall made from a patchwork of second-hand traditional Kimono clothes. Curated by Japanese designer, Noriyoshi Muramatsu founder of Studio Glitt.

With its exciting atmosphere and exquisite cuisine, CLAP Restaurant has become a renowned destination for food enthusiasts and design aficionados alike.
